Since we were on an earlier train out of Paris than everyone else after our joint bachelor/ette the night before, Bill and I arrived at our wedding venue, Château Rigaud, in the early afternoon on Thursday to start our wedding weekend.
After lunch with our wedding planner to go over a few last-minute details, we unpacked and delivered schedules and handwritten notes to each of the guests staying with us.

A few hours later, everyone started to arrive and were welcomed with crémant (sparkling wine from the region) and cake. After touring the grounds, people settled into their rooms and enjoyed the pool.

Around 7pm, we all met in the library for cocktails & canapes and then moved outside to the courtyard for a relaxed dinner of grilled meats and Mediterranean spreads. This was one of my favorite meals of the entire weekend – grilled fish, spicy lamb kebabs, the most incredible hummus & pita, grilled vegetable salads and crème brûlée for dessert. And an amazing toast from Riona & Micaela!

After dinner and a few rounds in the chapel bar (as seen in the photo above), it was off to bed.
