In addition to my 95-year old grandmother, there was another missing presence at our wedding: Reggie. Though he was there in spirit (and in merch), it was a super bummer that we couldn’t fly him to France and back for the wedding. I had been trolling charter flight Facebook pages for the dog-obsessed, as well as scouting out the best way to get to Europe with a dog (La Compagnie out of Newark lets you fly with a dog on your lap out of its carrier). Ultimately, Reggie’s vet advised against it, considering Reggie’s general nervousness and appreciation for routine and familiar places.
Despite his absence, we made sure to incorporate him into the weekend as much as possible.
