There comes a point every winter where you and your dog sync up and go stir crazy from being in the house together 24/7. At this point, you can lean into the crazy and start filming dog TikToks… or you can follow my lead and visit one of these dog-friendly breweries in Massachusetts. Each one has been personally vetted by me/Reggie and allows dogs INSIDE during the winter. Because no one wants to channel Winter 2021 and freeze to death under a woefully under-gunned patio heater amidst -20 wind chill.
Untold, Scituate MA: One of the few South Shore breweries that treat dogs and babies the same: they must be monitored for everyone to have a good time. Untold’s indoor bar area and schoolhouse room are both dog-friendly and they usually feature a local food truck and live acoustic music on the weekends.
Stellwagen, Marshfield MA: Dogs are allowed inside this massive brewery space as well as outside in an enclosed run area.
Widowmaker, Braintree MA: Another toasty indoor spot that not only allows dogs but actively loves and encourages their presence.
Treehouse, Charlton MA: A massive complex that allows dogs inside.
Park 9, Everett MA: This is a bar/restaurant that’s also a dog park, all indoors of course.
Castle Island, Norwood MA: Large brewery with good food; allows dogs inside.
Break Rock, Quincy MA: An airy modern brewery on the water in Marina Bay that allows dogs inside.
Redemption Rock, Worcester MA: A central MA spot that allows dogs inside but really is asking for trouble with the astroturf flooring.
River Styx, Fitchburg MA: Huge brewery with tons of games and a food truck outside. [CLOSED IN 2023]
